What is Vitamin B3 niacin?
Nicotinic acid belongs to vitamin B3, also known as nicotinic acid, anti-scabies factor, molecular formula :C6H5NO2, chemical name 3-picolinic acid, has good thermal stability, can be sublimated.  Nicotinic acid is often purified by sublimation in industry.  Niacin appears as a white or pale yellow crystal, B.  3 soluble in water, mainly in animal viscera, muscle tissue, fruit and egg yolk also have trace amounts of components.  It is one of the 13 essential vitamins and belongs to the B vitamin group.  At present, niacin is mainly used as a feed additive, which can improve the utilization rate of feed protein, milk yield of dairy cows and the yield and quality of poultry meat such as fish, chicken, duck, cattle and sheep.  Niacin is also a widely used pharmaceutical intermediate.  As a raw material, it can be used to synthesize a variety of drugs, such as nicotinic acid and nicoinositol.  In addition, nicotinic acid plays an irreplaceable role in luminescent materials, dyes, electroplating and other fields.

Niacin is available in three commercial specifications, namely food grade, feed grade and medicinal grade.  Niacin is mainly used as a nutritional additive in feed (water-soluble vitamin), as an intermediate in food, medicine, dyes, and as an additive in electroplating solutions and biochemical reagents. 

Application

Vitamin B3 is also known as niacin.  Medically, this nutrient deficiency is known as vitamin B3 deficiency.  Symptoms include nausea, skin and mouth damage, anaemia, headaches and fatigue.  If left untreated, chronic vitamin B3 deficiency can also cause pellagra.
